Our Areas of Focus
Training
Bookstorm provides intensive, hands-on training for emerging Nigerian writers and illustrators of children’s books. Bookstorm equips writers and illustrators with the tools to produce high-quality for young readers.

The Bookstorm community invites members to collaborate, share ideas, and grow together in an environment that supports creativity, accountability, and excellence. Our network offers lasting connections, peer support, and opportunities to showcase and celebrate each other's work.
Publishing

Bookstorm works with creators to bring their books to life.

Our Vision
BookStorm, an innovative initiative by Book Buzz Foundation, is dedicated to revolutionizing Nigeria's children's literature scene. With a commitment to publishing 100 culturally significant books by 2027, BookStorm provides comprehensive training for writers and illustrators, ensuring the creation of top-notch reading materials for young audiences.

Our Mission
At BOOKSTORM, we are on an ambitious mission to publish 100 exceptional children’s books that reflect the realities, cultures, and dreams of Nigerian children by the end of 2027.
We believe every child in Nigeria deserves to open a book and see characters who look like them, live like them, and speak to their experiences. Representation matters deeply. When Nigerian children read stories with characters who reflect their language, environment, and values, it nurtures self-worth, imagination, and pride. These stories become mirrors that affirm identity, and windows that invite curiosity and understanding.
To meet this goal, BOOKSTORM is nurturing a new generation of Nigerian talent. We are training and supporting writers and illustrators, equipping them with the skills to create engaging, meaningful, and age-appropriate stories. Through workshops, mentorships, editorial guidance, and publishing, we’re building a pipeline of creators ready to tell the stories Nigerian children deserve.
Beyond training, we are creating opportunities to showcase their work—locally through school programs, public exhibitions, and libraries, and internationally through strategic partnerships and book fairs.
